What an utterly fantastic treasure trove of everything to do with horses and their history.
I had no idea the collection was as extensive as it is. An absolute joy to visit.

Brilliant place ran by brilliant and extremely knowledgeable staff.
They unlocked everything just for me and my partner to have a wander about and the wealth of information from the lady that works here is immense.
We had a brilliant visit all in all and would recommend to anybody

Small but fascinating place. Mainly concentrating on the tackle horses wear- saddles, bits, bridle etc. Well laid out. Well researched. Situated in the small delightful town of Tuxford.

What a wonderful place! There's so much to take in - from the horse gas masks to the antique Native Indian saddle. Don't be put off if you're not particularly horsey - the collection (across nine rooms and two long corridors) is as much about the history of humans and their relationship with horses, as it is about the animals themselves.
